Moje zainteresowania badawcze koncentrują się wokół zjawisk europejskiej sztuki doby baroku, zwłaszcza architektury, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Europy Środkowej i Śląska. Pracę magisterską, poświęciłam recepcji Escorialu jako klasztoru i rezydencji monarszej w Europie Środkowej. Badania komparatystyczne kontynuowałam w pracy doktorskiej dotyczącej wpływów sztuki z terenów Arcyksięstwa Austriackiego na rozwój sztuki śląskiej w latach 1648–1741, wydanej w 2010 roku.
Kolejnym obszarem badawczym, który stanowi przedmiot moich zainteresowań, jest rewitalizacja zabytków. Obejmuje ona szereg działań, w tym konserwatorskich, związanych z ponownym wykorzystaniem i użytkowaniem obiektów, które straciły dawną funkcję i niejednokrotnie znajdują się w stanie ruiny. Dotyczy to obiektów architektury rezydencjonalnej, sakralnej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem postindustrialnej. Tematyka rewitalizacji łączy się integralnie z zadaniem dokumentowania dziedzictwa kulturowego. Od początku zatrudnienia w Instytucie Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego podejmowałam się prac związanych z inwentaryzacją i katalogowaniem zabytków na terenie Dolnego Śląska co zaowocowało m.in. udziałem w tworzeniu Katalogu Zabytków Sztuki w Polsce.
Od ponad 13 lat zajmuję się tematyką postrzegania dzieł sztuki doby baroku w literaturze podróżniczej tego okresu. Te długoletnie badania pozwoliły na wykrystalizowanie się ostatecznej koncepcji książki pt. Postrzeganie i ocena dzieł sztuki europejskiej XVII i pierwszej połowy XVIII wieku w świetle literatury podróżniczej tego okresu.

My research interest focus on the phenomena of European Baroque art, especially architecture, with particular emphasis on Central Europe and Silesia. My MA was devoted to the reception of Escorial as a monastery and royal residence in Central Europe. I continued comparative research in my dissertation about the influence of art from the Archduchy of Austria on the development of Silesian art in years 1648–1741, published in 2010.
Another research area is the revitalization of monuments. It includes a number of activities related to the reuse and use of monuments that have lost their former function and are often in ruins. This applies to residential and sacral architecture, including also post-industrial buildings. The subject of revitalization is integrally connected with the task of documenting cultural heritage. From the beginning of my work at the Institute of Art History of the University of Wrocław, I have undertaken research related to the inventory and cataloguing of monuments in Lower Silesia, which resulted in participation of the Catalogue of Monuments of Art in Poland.
For over 13 years I have been working on the problem of the perception of European works of art dated from 17th and the first half of 18th century in the travel literature of this period. These long-term research allowed me to develop the final concept of the book entitled Perception and evaluation of works of European art of the 17th and the first half of the 18th century in the light of the travel literature of that period.
